Dante Deo was established in 2015 by Leon Steyn after spending many years in the corporate world. During his career in information technology spanning 20 years, he gained an in-depth knowledge of the technical, architectural and commercial knowledge from being a COBOL programmer in the 1990's to leaving Anglo American in 2015 as the IM Global Category Manager. This has given Dante Deo the advantage to bring an 'integrated services' offering that aligns the technical requirements and architectural design with the commercial arrangements to the market.

However, the journey from being a corporate citizen to establishing Dante Deo, was founded in faith. The name "Dante Deo" is a Latin phrase that means "Giving to God". To give to God, Dante Deo as a company has, as its primary purpose, the vision to Deliver a Difference. This is a vision that not only spans the business world, but also extend to the social and economic sectors. Therefore, Dante Deo strives to find that 'something extra' in everything we do.

For example, whilst working with the South African government, Dante Deo not only focused on reducing costs in the commercial arrangements, but we also continue to discuss critical areas of concern in the South African landscape. Topics such as Foreign Direct Investment, Job Creation for the youth, Rural Development and establishing South Africa as a recognized destination for IT outsourcing was put onto the negotiation table. Although we can't claim any success, accept for the commercial improvements, we will continue to plant these seeds and anticipate a great harvest in the future.

In another project, we were negotiating an outsource services agreement for a client, but during this project our client announced a major restructuring that caused many employees to lose their income. Therefor, as part of our negotiations on behalf of the client, we agreed with the service provider to employ some of the effected staff.

Dante Deo will continue to seek that something extra in every project we do for our clients. But, we will rather get fired for doing the right thing, than get paid for doing the wrong thing. Dante Deo is a partner with an unwavering focus on "Delivering a Difference". Driven by our core values of integrity, accountability, professional duty, excellence and social responsibility, we engage with both the client and the supplier to achieve that difference.

Dante Deo is also proud to announce that besides our operations in South Africa, we have also established a presence in the United Kingdom in 2017. Needless to say, we will continue to "Deliver a Difference" to our clients in Europe in the same manor as we have been doing from our South African base.
